Baby Cube from Couture Creations Dies

Hi, Bridget here with a super versatile project that can be made for any occasion.

This cube is super easy to make and you just need some plain cardstock, and patterned paper in your theme of choice.

From the Nesting Dies: Scalloped Squares (CO723043) I cut the largest scalloped oval 6 times from cream cardstock. 4x are panel pieces and 2 pieces form the top and bottom.

Score all 4 sides on all 6 squares at ½”.

On the top and bottom pieces cut the corners out where the score lines intersect.

Place a strip of double sided tape (C0721985) down one side of the 4 panel pieces and join them to form one long piece.  Place tape to all 4 sides of the top and bottom pieces.

Cut 6 pieces of patterned paper using the 2nd biggest Nesting Dies: Victorian Squares (C0723048) Attach these to each of the 6 scalloped square pieces.

Stick the panel pieces together to form a square.

Before you insert the top and bottom piece of the square on, glue a piece of ribbon on to form the hanging part of your cube.

Once your cube is complete you can decorate each side as desired.

Pretty in Pink Clock using Couture Creations Doily Die

Pretty Clock by Bridget Louw

Christmas is almost upon us and its time to get cracking with the homemade gifts we all plan to make.

I was going through my stash recently and stumbled across the clock frame I have had for ages. I thought the Celestial Doily Die would be brilliant for the center piece.

I painted all the edges that would be exposed in pink and covered the front piece with the patterned paper I chose for the project.

Next step was to decorate each of the “windows”. I decided to keep this pretty simple and just mixed up some printed paper and embossed a few pieces with the Hedged Maze Embossing folder (C0723015).

The beautiful center piece of this project is done by using the Celestial Doily Die (C0723220).

I also used Couture Creations stick on pearls at the 3,6,9 and 12 o’clock points.
